Inspired by storytelling and divine faith since he was a child, William Joel (“BJ”) Stewart III is a renowned artist in San Antonio, specializing in sculpting and oil and acrylic paintings. BJ’s true passion and inspiration comes from a generational devotion to the Sacred Heart. Growing up, he found himself drawing the heart rendition repeatedly until he later developed his signature stained-glass style.

His curated work isn’t just about having a valuable possession, it’s about embracing a work of art that resonates with the heart and mind, tells a story, and brings peace, hope and love to a home, place of business, school, church, or community space. His design process includes continued prayer for the person(s) receiving the artwork with blessed water, oils, and salts.

BJ studied at Southern Methodist University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Advertising. When he isn’t creating and painting, he consults with and helps local businesses grow through multimedia advertising strategies, speaks to local parishes about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, spends time with his wife and two young sons, and now and again will drive to the coast to catch waves.
